Here we have something super special! This is a Jarrah shell 6 piece drum kit finished in Blackheart Sassafras smooth satin. Evetts offer very unique looking and sounding drums which are constructed from the finest Australian Hardwoods available. Sonically these drums are incredible and they are flawlessly built. This is the first Jarrah shell kit we've had over to the UK, we've wanted one for a longtime and wanted to get it finished in Blackheart Sassafras. In early 2020 Steve was able to source the right material to go ahead and build this monster set. The kit is pictured with an optional matching snare drum which came from the same Veneer, this is offered seperately in our snare section . The Exotic Blackheart Sassafras veneer which has been expertly applied across the shells to maximum effect, the pattern matches across the rack toms, the same can be said for the floor toms. The kit then underwent a pain staking finishing process requiring several coats of satin paint to create the final smooth satin finish which is flawless.

Evetts hand build their Kits in Australia. Evetts shells are generally either Spotted Gum, Jarrah or Tasmanian Blackwood though other Australian Hardwoods are available too. The unique sound of Evetts drums inherently comes from the shell. All their drum shells are pressed in-house with specially designed dry-forming cold-pressed moulds. Their expert moulding technology allows the resins to cure naturally at room temperature under consistent and even pressure. The processes at Evetts allow for the creation of the most breathtaking and remarkable sounding drum shells.

The sound of Jarrah shells are very responsive in the mid range with a punchy low-end sound. Jarrah drums have strong attack and projection too which makes for some phenomenal sounding toms.
