Is there anything more Iconic than Phil Collins' concert tom Gretsch drum kit? The look, the specs and the iconic parts, this is truly something very special from a very special time in Rock & Roll history. In 2023 Gretsch created a small number of replica drum sets, recreating this Iconic 1980's drum set which Phil used for both his Genesis and Solo work.

The original kit is a set of proper concert toms and a 20 x 14 bass drum. The replica faithfully re-creates all the specs such as 5 lug 8,10 & 12 concert toms, 8 lug 15 & 16 concert toms and the mammoth 10 lug 18 x 18 concert tom. Phil's kit was finished in Nitron Black wrap the very same as the re-issue and the shells throughout are standard USA custom hand made in the Gretsch Ridgeland facility. All the usual Gretsch features are present such as DieCast hoops throughout, Silver Sealer interiors and Gretsch USA fittings. The only place where the replica differs are the Badges - Phil's original Black kit had the 1980's 'New Square' badges, this kit has the Round Badge which Gretsch returned to in 2013.

Later on in his career Phil also had a set in White, his son Nick also played a White version for the Genesis farewell tour.

In the pictures we've set the kit up Left Handed and added a Noble & Cooley 14 x 3.875 solid shell piccolo snare which was Phil's snare of choice during this period. The kit is also shown with Sabian Cymbals and Hardware, the snare, cymbals and hardware are not included in for the price, please ask if you require additional items for the kit.

The kit comes complete with a certificate of authenticity from Gretsch USA and includes a Gretsch stamped envelope, some additional bass drum decals and promotional newsletter.

The kit originally came with Coated Ambassadors, we have since fitted the kit with Phil's drum head spec - 8" Diplomat clear & 10" through to 18" Ambassador clear making this kit 'In The Air Tonight' ready! An very rare opportunity to get a nearly new condition set of these extremely exclusive drum kits.
