A&F President and founder Ramy Antoun is a long time professional drummer who has an incredible drumming CV - playing sessions for artists such as Seal, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Willie Nelson and many more. When Ramy originally started the company he was in the pursuit of a look and sound that he had mapped out in his head for his own personal requirements. What followed from the results of that mission quickly snowballed in to a company with a 100 year business plan.

A&F's quest is to blend old-world craftsmanship with new world sounds and we believe their incredible sounds and beautiful designs have already changed the way in which many drummers now approach playing.

14 X 6.5 Nickel Over Brass

All Nickel Over Brass Snares are made from A&F's patented raw brass shells, lugs, hoops, and hardware, with hand cut straight 45 degree edges and Hand Filed Snare beds.

A&F cut, roll, weld and sand each drum. They found a nickel plater in Texas whose family has been plating nickel since 1930’s. The grandson (46) now runs it, and worked with them to nickel plate their brass the way it was done on those old beautiful 1920’s-1930’s of old!

The Nickel Over Brass Snares have a deep focused and crisp tone with tons of great snare sensitivity to boot.

TWO INTERNAL SNARE FITTED

Developed by LP Percussion and factory fitted by A&F this drum has the internal snare option included not once but twice. The internal snares sounds incredible and gives this snare unbelievable sensitivity and snap, when engaged we've also found it acts like a natural damper too which gives the drum a crisp and dry back beat feel. Have two engaged on the top, one on the top and one on the bottom or any combination of off and on between the three options of snare wire. This drum can quickly produce a multitude of very different sounds.
