NOBLE & COOLEY WALNUT CLASSIC 5 PIECE DRUM KIT, NATURAL WALNUT GLOSS LACQUER

We're really excited about this kit, we ordered it in early 2018 and has been 9 months in the making, now it's here and even more incredible than we could have imagined! It is also the first one we've had in Natural Walnut Gloss Lacquer. The deep Walnut Grain comes through the beautifully and is complimented by black chrome hardware.

We decided to order this set in really classic sizes that many contemporary drummers now ask us for. The tom sizes are standard depth 10 x 8 & 12 x 8. This set has two floor toms in original square 14 x 14 & 16 x 16 sizes. The Bass Drum is 22 x 14 tipping the hat to all those great kicks from the past. This is a very versatile set of sizes that can really do it all! The horizontal 6 ply Walnut shell delivers incredible tone and definition so whilst the kit looks compact it can happily rock too. For Jazz, Funk, Pop and Acoustic styles this kit is an immediate winner, the walnut shells are incredibly comfortable with lighter strokes and maintain balance and tone throughout the dynamic range. Over the last year we are finding lots of players wanting to get back to shallower bass drum sizes, there is certainly increased tonal and beater definition benefits which are often apparent when older Gretsch and Ludwig sets come through. For this set the first thing we decided to do was order a 22 x 14 which has incredible impact both from the player and audience perspectives.

Just like the N&C Walnut ply and Solid Shell Classic snare drums, the Walnut Classic drum kits have a lot of low end and a darker vintage tone. Beefy, fat and surprisingly ambient. The Walnut Classic kits are built with the Witt Percussion all horizontal approach that N&C use use on their snare drums.

Please Note: We've also featured the new N&C Walnut Ply Snare in the pictures and video, this snare is finished in Natural Oil. To finish off the look the kit is set up with a full set of Paiste Formula 602 cymbals. The Snare, Cymbals and Stands are not included, please contact us if you would like to configure additional items to create your desired set up.
