NOBLE & COOLEY CD MAPLE 'STAR INSPIRED' CUSTOM 5 PIECE DRUM KIT, WHITE LACQUER

Here we have a stunning Noble & Cooley CD Maple finished in white lacquer with some very special specifications. When we spec'd the set we wanted to pay homage to the N&C Star series drums from the late 80's early 90's (famously used by Chris Whitten whilst touring with Paul McCartney). The Star featured a solid maple shell and was known for its signature short depth toms. For this CD Maple we replicated the sizes and specified tube brass lugs to give it a modern twist.

The sizes of this set are 10 x 6, 12 x 6, 14 x 7, 16 x 8 Toms, 22 x 18 Bass Drum, we do have optional matching solid shell Maple snare drums in 14 x 6 and 14 x 3.875 sizes (both pictured). The kit enjoys modern touches such as the Cool Mount system, the White lacquer on this drum kit is simply flawless!

It's certainly a favourite here and the sound is really something else! The short depth toms deliver very fast attack and focused tone. We had some real fun trying double ply and single ply head options on it, with single ply the tone is open and punchy with a very pure sustain, the double ply heads really fatten the set up and give you brilliant deep, controlled low end tone whilst retaining attack.

The CD Maple series has been a mainstay of the Noble & Cooley line continuously since 1983. Among the first modern, high quality all-maple drums sets, these kits have been used by countless players in virtually every type of musical style. Defined by a big, ambient, warm tone and a large tuning range these drums are at home in the studio or on stage.

The CD Maple features 100% Maple shells with a varying ply method depending on the size of drum to maximise the resonance. All toms feature precession RIMS mounting systems with Noble and Cooley's new 'cool mount' adaption. This kit features options including Gold CD Maple Badges, Brass Lugs, 2.3mm Hoops and Yamaha Style Bass Drum Spurs. The kit is finished in a beautiful White Gloss. We have two matching snare drums shown in the pictures, these are both available separately from the snare drum section.
