DW (DRUM WORKSHOP) COLLECTORS BIRCH 5 PIECE DRUM KIT, REGAL BLUE TO BLACK BURST (B-STOCK)

Here we have a Drumazon favourite! This is a DW Collectors birch. These birch kits are not around as much as the Maple sets, we think these sound the business!

This set is a B-Stock kit. It hasn't been owned or played by anyone, it's classed B-Stock because it has been in storage for a long time and has a couple of light marks on the top of the bass drum (please see pictures) and there is a very small cloudy area underneath the badge on the 12" tom, the is really only noticeable if you are looking for it. These are very minor imperfections making this a whole lot of otherwise brand new DW speciality lacquer drum kit for the price.

Pure Birch Shell

Birch has long been a studio favourite. With a brighter fundamental and shorter resonant note, it's microphone-friendly and another time-tested artist favourite. Heartwood Birch is cut from the center of the log, providing a more "exotic-looking", highly figured appearance.

The 100-percent birch shells are ply-configured with the 8, 10 and 12 Toms being 6-ply; the 15 floor tom and 22 bass drum are 7-ply. With the Birch series there are no reinforcement hoops inside the drums.

Bearing edges for these drums are just like those on the maple series: toms are 45 degree, while the bass drum is 60 degree. All cuts are from the outer edge of the shell tapered toward the inside of the drums.

Timbre Matched

All of these shells underwent the DW Timbre-Matching process. Utilizing a digital tuner as part of DW's patented pitch identification procedure, each of these shells is stamped on its sweet spot with the shell's relative note-value.
