What an absolute stunner! Here we have a Tamburo Unika drum kit, this one is in a set of sizes specially ordered by us. Tamburo is a new brand to Drumazon which we believe fits in really well amongst our line up of makers offering many unique design concepts. There is a lot to like about these drums and many subtle features that make an incredible amount of difference to the end result of these drums, demonstrating how much thought Tamburo have put in to their drum kits and snare drums.

The Unika is a completely unique shell design with two HPL (high pressure laminate) layers sandwiching a high quality Italian poplar core. This particular shell lay up offers extreme strength and stability whilst remaining lightweight. The unique HPL layers not previously used in drums make the shells completely waterproof preventing deterioration over time. Not only do these shells offer superior strength and protection, they also offer a superior sonic quality unlike anything you've heard from regular wood ply shells.

Tamburo have found that 2.2mm hoops works the best with this shell set up. These are found throughout the range of Toms, Floor and Snares in this series. All mounted toms are on RIMS isolation mounting systems to allow the shells to fully resonate. The floor tom brackets are equipped with anti vibration gaskets.

The Unika series uses the Tamburo ST lug. The Strong Traction Lug is a very serious piece of design. The long lug design creates a stable drum head tension which enhances the mechanical strength of each full rotation turn of the rod. The unique design allows the shell not to be loaded with any tension and remains free to fully conduct air movement produced by the strike of the head. There are 4 main components to the ST Lug, 1) the ABS anti-vibration contacts at the top and bottom. 2) The 0.6mm Alloy Pipe travelling between the two ABS points. 3) The stainless steel covers which case the sides of ABS points. 4) The brass pin.

All Tamburo kits come fitted as standard with high specification Evans USA drum heads which means the kit is ready to play straight out of the box.

The drum set we have here is finished in Olive Veneer from the Wood line finishes which is just jaw dropping. The Unika is one of Tamburo's professional series drum ranges. Unika is aimed to be an easy to tune, powerful yet versatile sounding shell featuring a strong structure making it perfect for the gigging drummer.
