Here we have one of British Drum Co’s new 2019 releases. This is the Aviator 1.2mm seamless Aluminium Snare Drum. Aluminium has long been known for it’s dry more controlled sound and the Aviator certainly delivers. This will be great for back beat players, perfect for recording and we have been incredibly impressed by how articulate this snare is from light right through to high energy playing. On the cosmetics front, BDC have delivered yet again, the drum is cram packed with beautiful touches, firstly you can’t miss the inverted bead design, this surely must help with the dry controlled sound, but it also looks great and creates a quite unique shadow around the centre of the drum. Aviator is inspired by classic aircrafts from the past and the back badge plays to the theme with a beautiful winged design. The front cut away B badge is accented by a back drop of Cherry and the drum features British Drum Co’s incredible Palladium Lugs and Snare Throw Off.

If you are looking for an Aluminium snare and want an authentic Aluminium sound with 21st Century features, it’s going to be very hard to rule out the Aviator!
