It's hard to believe that the Evans EQ system bass drum heads have been around for over 3 decades. Originally starting out with paired EQ1, EQ2 and EQ3 systems offering revolutionary venting, internal dampening and resonance control - these heads quickly became the go to for the best bass drum sounds imaginable.
The EQ resonant series heads play as big a part as the batter sides with incredible amounts of low end tone, punch and presence enhancing properties. These are recommended to be used in conjunction with EQ and EMAD batter heads delivering the complete experience.
The EQ series has progressed with the times, now available in a popular UV Coated choice.
The UV EQ4 Bass series features the same patented UV-cured coating and durable single-ply 10mil film from the UV1 series with the addition of a fixed internal overtone control ring to reduce sustain and focus the tonal response of the drum.

Guidance for 16" Bass Drums
If your bass drum has a wood hoop you need to buy the BD16 code 16" Head which has a standard bass drum hoop collar. If your bass drum is a Bass Drum with a flanged metal hoop or a floor tom conversion with flanged metal hoop you need to buy the TT16 code Tom version which has a Tom Hoop collar.
