It's hard to believe that the Evans EQ system bass drum heads have been around for over 3 decades. Originally starting out with paired EQ1, EQ2 and EQ3 systems offering revolutionary venting, internal dampening and resonance control - these heads quickly became the go to for the best bass drum sounds imaginable.

The EQ resonant series heads play as big a part as the batter sides with incredible amounts of low end tone, punch and presence enhancing properties. These are recommended to be used in conjunction with EQ and EMAD batter heads delivering the complete experience.

Evans EQ1 resonant series features a single ply of 10mil film with dry-vents to allow air to escape and an internal overtone control ring to focus the resonant tone of any bass drum.
