DW (DRUM WORKSHOP) COLLECTORS SERIES SANTA MONICA 6 PIECE DRUM KIT, BROKEN GLASS (PRE-LOVED)

Here we have an incredible 6 piece DW Collectors Santa Monica Series Drum kit. This one comes in DW's gorgeous Broken Glass and features their unique 23" Bass Drum which sounds outrageous! Santa Monica is the original Collector’s Series all-maple shell configuration. Named after the famed California beach town where Drum Workshop was founded, the shells offer yet another versatile sonic option for drummers, while paying tribute to DW’s 50 year drum-making legacy.

Hand-crafted from select plies of North American Hard Rock maple at the California Custom Shop, the 6-ply shells utilise slightly thicker 1/32” veneers, and are fitted with 6-ply reinforcement hoops offering a resonant, yet focused tonality. Available in all Custom Shop finishes and drum hardware colors.

Drum Designer and Executive Vice President, John Good comments, “Our earliest artists still talk about these drums. Now we can offer them to a new generation. Feels strange to attach the word “vintage” to what we do, but it’s true! Santa Monica shells work for just about any playing situation, it’s a Swiss army knife of a shell”.

Pure Maple Shell

The most popular wood for drum making, maple is a hardwood that produces maximum resonance, projection and attack. Combined with reinforcement hoops, it can produce a more focused sound and is well suited for live and studio applications.

Timbre Matched

All of these shells underwent the DW Timbre-Matching process. Utilizing a digital tuner as part of DW's patented pitch identification procedure, each of these shells is stamped on its sweet spot with the shell's relative note-value.
