Here we have an absolutely stunning and totally unique Pearl Free Floating Maple Snare Drum. This drum is a mix of the old and the new. The Shell is a 14 x 6.5 Maple from the Mark 2 Era, this is when Pearl were using the Prestige Custom (MLX) red "All Maple Shell' badges on the FFS Series and this shell is finished in the timeless Piano Black Lacquer. The Free Floating System on this drum is the Mark 3 with the SR-1000 Glide Lock Snare Strainer, the drum also has just had brand new Tension Rods (with Black Grommets) and a Brand new pair of Black Chrome Die-Cast Hoops which look stunning against the combination of Black Shell, Chrome Lugs and Aluminum Shell Bed.

This drum is totally unique and sounds absolutely stunning. This drum is suited to producing lower tones but is capable of delivering bags of attack too. The Maple shell on this snare is around 27 years old and is delivering a beautifully warm sound whilst benefiting from the more modern free floating cage and snare mechanism. This is possibly the nicest one we've heard.
