Here we have an absolutely brand new unplayed Louie Bellson 14 x 5.5 Signature Snare Drum by Remo - #142 of 1000. This is a wonderful looking drum designed to honour one of the true all time drumming greats and signed by the man himself. This one was originally acquired with the intention to be kept as a collectors piece. For a collector this offers an opportunity to get an immaculate example, for any one wishing to use it, you won't be disappointed, the Remo Acousticon Shell delivers an incredibly good sound.

This is certainly one of Remo's most attractive looking drums too! The White Marine Pearl offset with the Gold Hardware really grabs attention.

January 28, 1999 -- Remo Belli, President and founder of Remo, Inc., has announced the introduction of the "Louie Bellson" Limited Edition Snare Drum. The 5 1/2 by 14-inch snare drum, designed in conjunction with legendary drum artist Louie Bellson, features Remo's exclusive Acousticon H/D drumshell with moulded bearing edges, brass-plated hardware, die-cast counterhoops and Ambassador Renaissance heads along with Louie's trademark White Marine Pearl finish and a commemorative, serial numbered badge. 

"We wanted to honour Louie's enormous contribution to music by creating a drum that, like Louie, is collectible as well as practical," says Remo. 

"We feel that the Louie Bellson Snare Drum more than meets this goal because it is both a great performer and a tribute to a living legend who not only continues to redefine modern drumming but who does it with incredible class." 

In announcing the drum's availability, Remo further indicated that only 1000 Bellson drums would be made and they were all personally autographed by Louie, himself.
