Here we have a DW Collectors Series, finished in White Glass Finish Ply in some really nice big sizes. At some point in its life the kit has been exposed to sunlight and has yellowed, the colour now is more of a vintage white sparkle, the 16" floor is more yellowed than the other 4 drums and we have priced the kit accordingly. The fading has no effect on the quality of the drum shells or the performance. The shells, the surface of the finish ply and all the fittings are in extremely good condition.

Pure Maple Shell

The most popular wood for drum making, maple is a hardwood that produces maximum resonance, projection and attack. Combined with reinforcement hoops, it can produce a more focused sound and is well suited for live and studio applications.

Bearing edges for these drums are 45 degree, while the bass drum is 60 degree. All cuts are from the outer edge of the shell tapered toward the inside of the drums. 

Timbre Matched

All of these shells underwent the DW Timbre-Matching process. Utilizing a digital tuner as part of DW's patented pitch identification procedure, each of these shells is stamped on its sweet spot with the shell's relative note-value.

  • Fitted with new Evans G2 batter heads, Evans Genera reso heads, Bass Drum has new DW clear coated batter fitted and original DW reso head.

  • PreLoved - Finish 7/10 Condition - finish ply surface is not scratched or marked but the finish has been exposed to sunlight and has faded. Metal work 9/10 condition the hoops, lugs and moving parts are completely original and in very clean condition, very little in the way of surface marks and no corrosion.
