Here we have a Ludwig LM400K. The 400 Supraphonic is one of the most recognised and recorded snare drums in the world. If you're about recording studio snare sounds, the number 400 will follow quickly behind and the list of pro players who have used the 400 is never ending.
The LM400K that we have here is a slight twist on the original 400 design. The K stands for Hammered shell, that Hammering helps to dry up the unwanted high overtones and better focus the midrange tone. These drums are lots of fun to play and incredibly quick and easy to get a top flight sound out off, the hammering also gives the drum a really great look.
