Ludwig Vistalite 1972-2017
In 2017 to mark 45 years of the Ludwig Vistalite, Ludwig released two limited edition drum kits to mark that incredible milestone. Here we have 1 of 45 Tri-Band Black sets made. This is a unique take on the original Pattern A outfits from the seventies. The Tri-Band colour is made up of original Black Acrylic and Clear Acrylic (both offered in the 70's) Sandwiched in the middle is a new Smoke Grey colour not used by Ludwig previously. This is a really striking kit which really looks the part under lights.
As you'd expect the kit sounds fantastic too, there is just something about a Ludwig Acrylic set, bags of enhanced low end thud and wet thumping attack making them perfect for Rock and heavier styles of music both live and in the Studio!
The 45th Anniversary kit features 70's style curved bass drum spurs, large classic lugs and the iconic Blue and Olive badges. The 13 x 9 tom is mounted on a RIMS to enhance sustain and the kit comes with its original certificate of authenticity. To complete the look Ludwig went with black wood bass drum hoops with Silver Sparkle inlays which absolutely set this kit off.
This set is in immaculate condition, the original heads are still fitted throughout with very little signs of use. A great opportunity to get your hands on one of these if you missed out the first time around.
