Here we have a Ludwig Club Date finished in Natural Satin. The Club Date is very much back by popular demand. Originally these kits were around in the 1960's. After they were discontinued all Ludwig fans have wanted was to see them reintroduced with a return to the Imperial Lug and a kit made in the States.

The new Club Date ticks all of those boxes and in fantastic fashion. The shell is a 7 ply Maple/Poplar/Maple blend with round over bearing edges, the design is wonderfully streamlined and the sound is immense. What is also impressive is the price Ludwig have been able to get this kit out to the market for. With such a premium build and sound quality these kits hold their own against the best and for a good fraction of the price.

Like all Ludwig American kits the Club Date demands to be played for the song. The sound is full and the kit is perfect for playing all those tasteful feel good patterns with no need to over complicate.
