Mapex have just launched two new voices in to their incredible line up of now 16 snare drums. Please welcome the Goblin 12 x 5.5 Walnut snare drum. Built with both primary and Auxiliary use in mind, the sound coming from this drum defies it's size! 

Every model in the Black Panther range has been designed down to the finest detail to ensure every drum has its own unique voice. Between the 16 models there is sure to be something to suit every drummer and any musical situation.

The Goblin

The Goblin is a 12 x 5.5, 5.1mm 6 Ply Walnut Shell. This drum is extremely crisp with a tight response that is guaranteed to cut through the mix. This drum could be used for all sorts of applications, it will suit itself to anything requiring some additional cut, its darker than an average 12 x 5.5 drum and tunes down better thanks to the Sonic Saver hoops.

The Goblin has Sonic Saver Hoops, double ended B lugs, SONIClear Bearing edges which are Rounded 45 degree centre with SONIClear 3/8" outer cut. The drum is finished in a Natural Lacquer showcasing the stunning natural Walnut shell, it has Brushed Black hardware and comes fitted with Remo USA Ambassador X Coated batter head and Ambassador Snare Side underside.

The Black Panther Cylinder drive snare mechanism is fitted which allows the snare wires to be incrementally tensioned from both ends of the wire. 

Like all Black Panther series drums from recent years this snare comes with a Mapex Black Panther draw string bag which allows you to safely store the drum and protect the hardware and finish when not in use.
