NOBLE & COOLEY HORIZON SERIES 5 PIECE DRUM KIT, TRANSLUCENT GREEN GLOSS, BRASS LUGS, NATURAL REVEAL BADGES

Here we have something super special! At the beginning of 2020 we challenged Noble & Cooley to take their snare drum reveal badge to the drum kit. This is the first kit to be made in a High Gloss Colour with a NC Natural Maple Reveal Badge. We also asked them if they could do a translucent green gloss the results speak for themselves.

Over the years we've had some incredible Horizon, CD Maple and Walnut sets from N&C. For this one we wanted some of the latest Horizon touches combined with some of the older 90's touches. To tip the hat to the 90's this kit has 4 suspended toms in the iconic 10,12,14,16 widths, we went for long lugs and Pearl SP300 bass drum spurs. To modernise it we took an inch off the depth on 3 of the 4 toms, we opted for the new brass lug and first ever reveal logo, all four toms benefit from the Cool Mount brackets too. In the final stages of production N&C's Nick Jones came up with the final master stroke of leaving the bass drum hoops Natural on the edges to further enhance the the natural reveal. This kit really is the best of all worlds! When you look inside you can enjoy the beautiful Mahogany interiors, from the outside you have not only a beautiful High Gloss Lacquer finish but also a reveal of the stunning Natural Maple underneath.

We have spec'd the kit with 4 suspended toms, there is plenty of versatility here in terms of setting up, the kit could be a 3 up one down or two up two down. If you are not a fan of suspended floor toms, we will happily change them out for Rims floor mounts.

About the Horizon Series

The Horizon was originally introduced in the 80's and the company dropped it out of the range in the mid 90's. The kits have always maintained a legendary status because of their Maple/Mahogany hybrid shell, remember in the 80's this was new territory. The shells are constructed horizontally which helps them to resonate more uniformly like the N&C steam bent shells. The inner mahogany offered throughout all the sizes adds a darker tone to the drums, these drums sound great live and in the studio.
