Here we have a fairly rare and highly in demand snare from Pearl. The UltraCast snare represents the best of both snare worlds - wooden shells and metal shells. At 3mm thick, it is one of the thickest metal shells you will encounter. Due to the softness of the precision mill cast aluminium, the snare has plenty of warm and full bodied tones associated with wooden shells. It also possesses the snap and crack of metal shells, and the vicious cut that metal snare lovers have come to expect.
