Here we have a stunning Pearl Session Studio Select. The Session series has always been a one of our favourites in the Pearl Line Up! Pearls various Birch Mahogany shell kits from over the years have always sonically been a winner and arguably one of most recognisable sounds they offer. Many of Pearl's top artists regularly use these in the studio and for live work, the build quality is every bit as good as their top range drum series. Pearl standards such as SP30 spurs, Superhoop II Hoops and Optimount suspension systems are all included.

The shell layup on the current version of the Session Series is the EvenPly Six Birch / African Mahogany. There are 4 plies of Birch on the Outside with two inner plies of African Mahogany on the inside, the plies are slightly thinner than the old days reducing from 7.5mm to 5.4mm thick on the current series which further enhances the fundamental low end and improves the overall resonance of the kit. Finally Pearl Have gone with 60 degree bearing edges throughout the set giving the Session even more of a pre-eq'd sound. These kits have toms and bass drum sound to die for. This particular kit is finished in Black Mirror Chrome which is a real show stopper!
