Here we have a drum from the mid 2000's. This is an English Made Premier Modern Classic 14 x 5.5 Brass Shell Snare Drum. These drums represent some of the finest snares ever made by Premier, they sound instantly great, look timeless and suit literally any style of music. Known for their versatility and quality of sound, the Modern Classic series took the drum community by storm.

The drum we have here, still sounds and performs really well. It is suffering from some tarnishing marks on the exterior (fairly typical for these) this will not effect the sound. The other slightly different feature is the snare mechanism which has been upgraded to a Dunnett throw off. The original system would have been a Nickel Drum Works piston throw - these throws were a welcome breath of fresh air at the time but many of the early ones did fail before a revision model was released later down the road. It is highly likely this throw was changed because it was one of the MK1 throws. The Dunnett does an equally good if not better job, no drilling has been done to perform the upgrade due to the universal plate on the back of the Dunnett.

This is a seriously good Brass snare for anyone looking for something high quality.
