Here we have a stunning example of a Yamaha Roy Haynes signature snare drum. This one is one of the slightly rarer seamless ones from the earlier part of production, it's in fantastic condition and sounds fantastic!

Roy Haynes is one of Jazz's legendary drummers. He played with jazz masters like Louis Armstrong, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Sarah Vaughan and John Coltrane.

The unique sound of this Jazz Great is embodied in his fantastic signature snare.

The 14 x 5.5 Copper shell produces deep, dark low end and is highly responsive. The hand hammered finish creates a deeper tone with more sensitivity than previous copper shells. Additionally the 2.3mm thick steel hoop enhances the copper shell's tone with tightness and sharpness.
