YAMAHA 14 X 5.5 SD 055MD STEEL PARALLEL ACTION SNARE DRUM, MIJ (PRE-LOVED)

Here we have a beautiful Yamaha SD 055MD long throw parallel action steel shell snare drum. This is the model that came before the recording custom snare drum line and this particular model was made in the Japanese facility, the model was simultaneously built in both Taiwan and Japan.

This is a mint condition example, the parallel snare system is flawless and smooth, the wires are in great shape, we have re-headed the drum ready for the next owner.

Sonically this is everything you would expect from this era of Yamaha, bags of tone, extreme snare sensitivity, when tuned down it has a thunderous back beat too. This is one for the serious Yamaha fans and will perfectly compliment a Recording Custom / 9000 series.
